Fence Repair After Storm Damage in Cypress, TX
Project Overview
- Location: Cypress, TX (Bridgeland community)
- Service: Fence Repair & Tree Debris Removal
- Date: February 2026
The Situation
After a strong cold front pushed through the Houston area with damaging winds, a Cypress homeowner in the Bridgeland community found that a neighbor's tree had fallen onto their shared fence line. Approximately 24 feet of cedar fence was destroyed, and the fallen tree was still lying across the property.
The Complication
The fallen tree originated from the neighbor's yard, which created a question of responsibility. We advised the homeowner to contact their insurance company, as most homeowner's policies cover this type of damage regardless of where the tree originated.
Our Work
Tree Debris Removal
- Cut and removed the fallen tree from the fence line
- Hauled away all tree debris
- Ground the remaining stump (with the neighbor's permission)
Fence Repair
- Removed all damaged posts and panels
- Set four new treated posts in concrete
- Installed new cedar pickets matching the existing fence style and height
- Replaced the damaged 2x4 rails
- Ensured the repaired section aligned properly with the existing fence on both sides
The Results
The fence was restored to its original condition, and the property line was clear. The homeowner submitted our invoice and photos to their insurance company for reimbursement.
